What was the inspiration behind our chip collection?
The inspiration for our Chip Collection actually came from some of our Eternity Collection designs. We had designed some of our Eternity Collection pieces to include half-inch chip gemstones. Lauren and Crystal were in our design room, finalizing the Fall 2017 Collections and LOVING how the new Eternity Collection pieces looked with the new half-inch chip gemstones. They loved the new stones so much, they decided an ALL half-inch chip gemstone bracelet would be so much FUN! The ALL CHIP design would be different than our current offerings; it would be bigger and more of a statement and would really compliment our all metal pieces and #1 selling quartz cuff. The first Chip Collection pieces were actually released in Fall 2017, under the Eternity Collection and when the ALL CHIP designs became available, the Eternity Collection chip pieces were moved and the Chip Collection was born. The ALL CHIP designs were released in late Fall/Winter 2017. The brighter, more vivid colors came that following Spring.
How did we choose the name and color of our chip collection - Wild orchid bracelet?
The collection name was chosen because the gemstones used are actual chips. Originally, the first Chip Collection pieces were made for Fall and Winter, so the colors were warmer and more neutral. When it was time to think about Spring Collection designs, Crystal and Lauren were brainstorming colors and looking through gemstone options. Crystal fell in love with the purple jade that we eventually chose for our Wild Orchid design. Steven had just given Crystal a BEAUTIFUL purple orchid for her desk and that is where the inspiration for the name came from, a real, purple orchid.
